SARAH WECKERLE
Founder and Certified in Original 90, Yin , Hot Pilates

In 1997, at the urging of my sister, I took my very first hot yoga class in the kitchen belonging to Melissa Mazaris and Ernie Curnett, in Northville, Michigan. This was before heated studios! Although I was very young, I immediately felt the benefits and knew this was something I would do for the rest of my life. I practiced a variety of yoga styles over the years but there was always something unique about the 26 & 2 practice, every class felt like a chance to learn something new about yourself and the posture. The sequence was always invigorating, yet healing and therapeutic. Over the years I found that the practice can support you through all phases of life!  I graduated from teacher training in the summer of 2004 in Los Angeles, California. I have had the good fortune and joy of teaching in Tahoe, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Sweden, and Korea before settling back in Detroit. In 2009, I won the regional asana championship in Ann Arbor and participated in the National Championship in Los Angeles.  With the tremendous support of my family, we opened this studio in 2013 and I am proud and honored to be part of Detroit. In August of 2016, I introduced my first baby to the world, Henry Weckerle Pavley. My mission is to provide a safe and loving place where anyone and everyone can come and experience the exponential benefits and joys of the rewarding practice of yoga. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community and for all the amazing teachers at the studio and the inspiring yogis who practice consistently and persistently. Thank you for being a part of it!
